Sharkware Simple Sync
meets this need by allowing you to easily synchronize data between
a local database stored on your notebook computer and your central
Sharkware network.
Sharkware Simple Sync allows you to keep a synchronized copy of
data on a computer that is not always connected to your central
database server. Changes in the local database may be transferred
through a bidirectional "hot sync" program whenever your notebook
is connected to the network. In minutes, both the local and central
databases are updated with all the latest changes that have occurred
since the last update.
As
an option, these database changes may also be stored in files
that can be transferred by diskette or sent as attached files
through most electronic mail systems, on-line services or the
Internet - simply and easily.
With
Sharkware Simple Sync you will be able to:

share data between Sharkware and a PalmPilot.
The
Sharkware Link for PalmPilot has been developed to allow a simple
and flexible means of maintaining contact and calendar information
on both Sharkware and a PalmPilot. This interface allows you to
select the contact and calendar information that you want synchronized
between Sharkware and a PalmPilot and use PalmPilot’s innovative
cradle and "hot-sync" technology to transfer the data
between the two.
With
the Sharkware Link for PalmPilot, you will be able to:
- Easily
configure what contacts you want on your PalmPilot by setting
up a contact group in Sharkware. You can then select an address,
up to four custom fields containing key information, up to eight
phone numbers/e-mail addresses and notes to synchronize with
the contact’s record on the PalmPilot.
- Select
appointments, phone calls, to-do’s or any combination of
the three to be shared between Sharkware and the PalmPilot.
A date range option allows you to link as little or as much
of your schedule as you want.
- Automatically
synchronize your contact and calendar by placing the PalmPilot
in a cradle that is connected to the computer running Sharkware
and press the "sync" button. That’s all it takes
to update both the PalmPilot and Sharkware’s database.
- Resolve
conflicts that occur as a result of the same data being changed
on both Sharkware and the PalmPilot, by having Sharkware accept
or reject the changes according to a preference you set.
